Prior to the Apostille of Free Sale Certificate from Ministry of external Affairs (MEA), New Delhi the Free Sale Certificate must be attested from the Chambers of Commerce in India. It is not mandatory to attest the Free Sale Certificate from the respective State’s Chambers of Commerce. The Free Sale Certificate could be attested from any Chambers of Commerce across the India prior to Apostille. The Free Sale Certificate generally attested from the concerned Chambers of Commerce from where the concerned Company is the Member and registered with. It is also important that the Free Sale Certificate must be attested from Notary before Apostille from Ministry of External Affairs, (MEA).
Please be informed that some HCC Countries further require the Embassy Legalization of the Free Sale Certificate after the Apostille of the Free Sale Certificate from Ministry of external Affairs (MEA), New Delhi. In this case, firstly the Free Sale Certificate will be attested from the Chambers of Commerce, after that the Free Sale Certificate will be Apostilled from Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), New Delhi and finally the Free Sale Certificate will be legalized by the concerned country’s Embassy or Consulate present in India.
The time frame to complete the Free Sale Certificate Apostille from Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), New Delhi could be completed within three working days. But the legalization of the Free Sale Certificate from the Embassy or Consulate could take some more time and it depends on the concerned Embassy’s or Consulate’s internal policy.
